On March 18, the Tuskegee University National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care and the UAB Center for Clinical and Translational Science will host the workshop Infusing Integrative Bioehtics into Research Partnerships: Bioethical Dialogue on Respect and Power-Sharing at the Tuskegee university Kellogg Conference Center.. The workshop agenda is

Morning Session (9:30am – 12:30pm): Respect for persons and Relational Ethics: The aim of this dialogue session is to assist participants in thinking deeply, making connections, and examining the idea of “respect” in research partnerships, lived-experiences and in professional practice.

Working Lunch (12:30 – 1:30pm): Assessing Ethical Style—Testing and Discussion Afternoon

Session (1:30 – 4:30pm): Power-Sharing and Leadership Ethics: The aim of this dialogue session is to assist participants in examining the “bioethics of power-sharing” and the type of leadership ethics that promotes the value of interdependence in research, proactively anticipates, addresses, and resolves issues of conflicts, unnecessary stress, imposition of the will of the majority on the minority, and the tyranny of the majority in live-experiences and professional practice.
